VICTOR "HATCHET FACE" CROWLEY
The Slasher of the Swamps. The legend of Victor Crowley begins even before his birth. His father was married to a woman who became ill and bedridden. She had a nurse who came and helped her everyday, a cajun woman. Thomas Crowley, Victors father, could handle the pain no more, and call him a cheat, or call him an infidel. He could take no more. After that night the cajun woman had a baby inside her. Victor Crowley. Then the day came that Thomas' wife died, and all seemed peaceful, but upon realizing her husbands infidelity the woman returned for one last moment to curse the child growing in the nurses belly. After cursing the child with her last breath the woman died, and all seemed peaceful again. However Victor was born with grotesque tumors disease that caused him to be terribly misshapen.
The children around the area teased and taunted Victor day in and day out. Then one day their tricks went too far. On Halloween night, three teenagers decided to play a prank on victor. They began throwing firecrackers at his house while he was inside and his father was away. However one of the fireworks started a fire on the porch of the cabin. The three teens ran away as Thomas returned home to find his house ablaze and his son screaming, locked inside.
Thomas could not get the door open so he did the best thing he could think of. He grabbed his hatchet and began hacking away at the door. Little did he know that poor Victor was pressed up against the door, fighting to get out. The hatchet went right into Victors head and killed him. Thomas was devastated by what had happened and died years later, a broken man. However on some nights it is said that Victor Crowley comes back searching, and screaming for his daddy.
